Submission Guidelines
Seraphim Guard is always on the lookout for interesting, innovative
new products to publish. Now, we've got our official guidelines for
anyone who's interested in seeing their work in print.
RPG Products
Please
first. We can more easily tell if your work looks
interesting from a one-page summary than from a 200-page manuscript.
If we're interested in the proposal, we'd like the finished work to be at least
25,000 words. (No maximum length, but anything over 100,000 words had better be pretty darn good.)
We prefer economical prose. Products for our existing game lines must be
completely compatible with the line's rules. New games must fit the
general emphasis of the company on products that emphasize roleplaying
and are related to topics of interest to fandom. D20 products are OK, but
hack-and-slash fantasy is not. Be innovative, not derivative.
Illustrations
We are always on the lookout for illustrations.
Illustrators retain the right to personal use of their artwork on their
own promotional websites. Final versions of artwork must be sent to the
office on CD-ROM in TIF format. Interior art must be B/W, either line
art or grayscale. All covers, front and back, are color. Photoshop and
Illustrator are the software of choice. Ownership of a CD-RW drive and a
scanner are a must for artists!
Editors
Anyone who wishes to copyedit a Seraphim Guard product
must get management approval. The main emphasis of the work is eliminating
spelling and grammar errors, improving the
sense of the work without cramping the style of the original piece, and
the like. Editors receive credit in the final release.
