Heroes of the Floating Worlds

The four of them clustered around the rune-encrusted door. Clif was using his magesight to inspect the door, tracing the interlocking glyphs to determine which of them were trapped. "Yes. This one, and here," he pressed the runes in order, each one glowing a different color of the rainbow until seven of them glowed. The colors then ran together like rivers of paint into the center, combining to form a shining silver keyhole. Atla passed him the key they had found which had started their quest, and Clif slammed it into the keyhole with a triumphant flourish, turning it with a smile.
Atla heard a cry behind her and spun. Bashshar, who had been watching for them, stood there with a red line etched across one of his arms, a line that started to drip blood. Scaly dark lizard creatures (almost men, but not quite) crawled up out of the windows. She pulled out a knife, spoke a quick spell, and then threw it down the corridor. As it hit one of them, the monster froze solid and toppled over, smashing to a million pieces against the stone floor.
The wounded skyfighter didn't bother with staying on the ground. Shouting out a quick spell, he lifted up into the air, landed on the wall the creatures were climbing in, and struck powerfully at the rock. The wall shuddered and cracked, the collapsing windows crushing the creatures as they entered.
As Dashar readied a sunlight spell to daze the creatures, the door they had been operating on burst a half-dead creature wrapped in rags standing inside, the form glowing with purple light. "Who dares disturb my slumber?" the creature shouted with a voice whose force threw Clif and the priest across the room and against the opposing wall.
Atla grabbed for another dagger. It looked like the 'lost tomb of Rafen-Ka' had one more deadly surprise.
THIS IS IT!
